Detailed Measuring Tips

We recommend checking your measurements when you are choosing a knee walker. This will allow you to choose the safest and most comfortable product for you. As we have a complete range of knee scooters we have something to suit everyone’s needs. As every person is different it is important to do an exact measurement just to be sure. We recommend that when taking your measurements that you wear shoes as this will give a more accurate measurement.

What you need to get an accurate measurement:

  • A Tape Measure
  • Something to safely balance on
  • Someone to help

As we have a complete range of knee scooters we have something to suit everyone’s needs. As every person is different it is important to do an exact measurement just to be sure. We recommend that when taking your measurements that you wear shoes as this will give a more accurate measurement.

What you need to get an accurate measurement:

  • A Tape Measure
  • Something to safely balance on
  • Someone to help

When you are balanced on a solid surface, bend your leg that will be used on the knee walker to a 90 degree angle. You need to ensure you are standing up straight and remember not to lean on anything that may cause imbalance. Next step is to, measure between the bottom of your bent knee and the ground (see image).

As all the KneeRover® products have adjustable knee pad and handle bar heights, you can find the option that is most comfortable for you and allowing you to maintain the correct posture. The images below will demonstrate the correct posture whilst using the knee walker. The handlebar height is set at waist level allowing the arms and hands to be in a comfortable position. The hips are also even, the injured foot is at a 90 degree angle and the uninjured foot is flat on the ground.
